Wrocław Drawing Triennial 2019
14.06 – 15.09.2019
Wrocław Drawing Triennial, whose first edition took place in 1965, has the longest tradition of drawing contests and exhibitions in Poland and this part of Europe. This year's edition includes an open call, group and solo exhibitions, presentations, overviews, symposiums, workshops, meetings and outdoor events.
One of the aims of the Triennial is to promote debuting artists and present a wide range of valuable activities in the field of contemporary drawing. The Triennial rises the status of this art discipline, stressing the importance of its immanent features and promoting a modern approach to drawing, viewing it as a complex combination of skills and ideas which has an intermedia character. The program of the Triennial is likely to attract young people as it features multimedia. Since its last edition, the Wrocław Drawing Triennial has been realizing the Organizers' ambition to be the most interesting and important overview of this kind in Europe.
